To Write Love On Her Arms day is an unofficial day that came into being by those who support the non-profit organization. On this day that occurs in the autumn, people write the word "LOVE" on their arms and on others in a sign of solidarity and as a way to promote the positive mission statement of the organization: "To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery."
