Yankee JK KuzuHana-Chan Mug
A manga series written by Toshinori Sogabe beginning in March 19, 2020. It follows the FMC Hanako Kuzuryuu and the MC Saotome Hodaka. The MC is in a school with 359 other girls to learn more about fashion and befriends the aforementioned FMC in the first chapter. Since then, he has slowly befriended more and more girls in his school. Although relatively obscure and unknown when initially released, this manga has since exploded in popularity and reach due to the many edited panels that have gone viral online. These have ranged from simple text edits to full-on hentai panel edits where you can see the characters photoshopped onto various doujinshi pages. Hanako in particular is the focus of many of these edits, with the intent being to give her more femininity and acting far more erotically than she is in the original manga. The MC is also often shown to be heavily masculinisized and stronger than the FMC despite it being the other way around in the original manga. These edits have been received polarizingly in the Yankee JK community with some praising them as creative and giving a good manga in their opinion the worldwide popularity it deserves. The creator himself has even given them praise, saying how they have helped his work become viral and make profit from his work. Others however criticize these edits saying they have given the manga a global negative reception and undermine the personalities of the characters.
