Hicklib Mug
"Hicklib", being a combination of "hick" and "liberal", and is used to refer to liberals that live in rural areas of the United States, namely the Southeast. Hicklibs exist for two reasons, a historical one and a practical one. Historically, Jeffersonianism, an Egalitarian, Agrarian, Democratic ideology was most prevalent in the South among farmers during 1790s to 1820s. While a long gone ideology, it still lingers in modern day Southern Republican ideology. The most important effect of Jeffersonian thought is Anti-Elitism, which fuels the "folksy" kind of class resentment parroted by hicklibs, and more recently suburbanite Republicans. Practically, hicklibs exist because rural areas shelter White people from the realities of living in a multiracial environment and how that affects suburban and urban populations. They don't understand why borders need to exist because they've never interacted with an immigrant before. If they are Appalachian, they are probably on government assistance too.

i love the schizophrenia mug its amazing
This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.

What's funny is the saying that everyone searched for is the one that popped up on the cup. So all the weird gross sayings that people are commenting on are completely out of context to everyone seeing their comment.
