Herkunft: „money“ (Geld) + „-phil“ (liebend) Definition: Ein*e Moneyphil ist eine Person, die eine ausgeprägte, oft emotional aufgeladene Zuneigung zu Geld, Reichtum und monetären Symbolen zeigt. Moneyphilie ist nicht zwingend materialistisch – sie kann auch ästhetisch, ideologisch oder spirituell aufgeladen sein. Merkmale: Trägt Bargeld wie andere Menschen Parfum. Kennt den Wechselkurs besser als den Geburtstag der Mutter. Reagiert auf das Klingeln der Kasse wie Pavlovs Hund. Liebt Geld mehr als die eigenen Eltern. Wird von Geld genauso heiß wie von Hintern. Glaubenssatz: „Zeit ist Geld – und beides gehört mir.“ Verwechslungsgefahr: Nicht zu verwechseln mit: Kapitalist: System-Fan, nicht zwangsläufig moneyphil. Geldgeil: vulgär, meist negativ behaftet. Investoren: Handeln pragmatisch, nicht emotional. Geld als Mittel zum Zweck. Finanzguru: Hat Wissen über Finanzen, sieht Geld eher rational als emotional.
