Joey
Joey: New England ski bum slang for a New Yorker/New Jersey/Connecticut tourist. Usually identified by: Rental boots and skis with jeans tucked in and an unzipped jacket OR the most expensive off-the-rack ski-boot-binding setup available, usually beautiful GS or Pow ski being wildly under-appreciated in a power-wedge. Also involves loud voices, obnoxious accents, and they are usually all named Joey. Girls come compete with fur accessories and way too much make-up. Trademark: the Joey Tuck--legs splayed in a wedge, ass in the air, poles sticking straight up, way out of control. Basically New England's own special kind of gaper who think they're hot shit. Also, they have no idea how to drive on snowy roads or any road that isn't paved. Or even roads without at least 5 lanes of traffic.
