First and foremost, HOME. Where the Ashley and Cooper Rivers converge to form the Atlantic Ocean. Also the largest "city" in SC. I put city in quotes because it has a small town feel but has almost 1,000,000 in the metro area. Everybody knows everybody here, so if you do something (case in point: Thomas Ravenel, former SC treasurer who went to prison for cocaine dealing), it can ruin not only you but your family's reputation. Don't confuse Charleston with the shithole Ohioan colony of Mt. Pleasant, which is across the Cooper River, most of the people there are self righteous and fake. Pros: Excellent Food Doesn't feel crowded Nice weather Lots of stores decent airport great economy Local news channels are good I was born here Cons TOO MANY DAMN OHIOANS MOVING HERE Roads are shit Property is expensive The TV show "Southern Charm" In the same county as Mt. Pleasant
