proximity infatuation: An infatuation that develops out of close-quarters operation with another person.

Blue Falcon: A general Marine Corps term, meaning "Buddy Fucker". It usually refers to a Marine who is supposed to use the "Buddy System", but chooses to leave his buddies hanging while he goes ahead without them.

I'll pencil you in: This is what a person says when he is making a tentative appointment. "I'll Pencil" (because the appointment can be erased) "you in" (to my schedule book).

Homing from Work: Using work time and resources for personal tasks. See reverse telecommuting, work from home

come correct: To come out rightly. To speak or approach someone with respect, and not with undeniable ignorance. To do something the right way the first time to avoid being bitched by another.

showmance: When actors engage in a romance for the run of a show. Once the run is over so is the romance. The term originated in the theater and moved to movies and scripted television and then reality television. The term has now moved to the populace to discribe any contrived romance.

power outage baby: Years ago, the power went out in San Francisco for a long time. Nine months later, there was a certain increase in birthrate. If you were born nine months aftert a power outage, you are a power outage baby.

web shy: Unwillingness to expose one's thoughts, feelings or identity on the web, knowing that doing so means freaknobs from Baton Rouge to Bangladesh will know everything about you.

bogart: (slang verb) To keep something all for oneself, thus depriving anyone else of having any. A slang term derived from the last name of famous actor Humphrey Bogart because he often kept a cigarette in the corner of his mouth, seemingly never actually drawing on it or smoking it. Often used with weed or joints but can be applied to anything.

Grippin grain: wood grain steering wheel

Textual Relations: To engage in dirty talk with ones partner via text message.

dfl: dead fuckin last. as in a sporting event or race. or anything else you can get last in.

Shralp: To "rip," "shred," or "tear" something up. As in skateboarding or doing very good at something.

dk;dc: Don't know; don't care

fud: Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Also known as scare tactics, either accomplished by threat or making the opponent doubt his standpoint. Not only used in lawsuits, but also in politics and military propaganda.

office ghost: An employee who maintains a position at a company despite the fact that all of his job duties have been reassigned to other employees. This could be by the ghost's own design or due to restructuring within the department. Office Ghosts are particularly effective when they have a big title that comes with an assistant, and a boss in another location because no one is really sure what they do all day, but they still have the ability to step up and take credit once a project is completed.

Irregardless: Without lack of disregard.

consumerican: An individual suffering from the particularly American brand of consumerism.

foul-weather friend: The opposite of a fair-weather friend, a foul-weather friend only seeks you out if they have a problem, need a shoulder to cry on, a ride to town or someone to watch their dog, but otherwise they act as if they don't even know you. They're only your chum when they're glum.

Spank bank: 1. A memorable collection of mental images that one wishes to retain for master debational purposes. 2. Porn collection

Touch Base: To make contact; to cover all the possibilities. Comes from baseball where the runners need to touch the base to make a run legal. Mostly used by asshat salesmen and contractors when they want to talk to you over the phone to see if you're interested in something they have for sale, usually around dinner time.

postgame: to continue drinking after coming back from a bar or party (usually at a friend's house or apartment)

Williams: Money. Derives from the word "bills" used to describe paper currency.

moneymoon: The time after your purchase of a good or service and before 'buyer's remorse' happens.

manorexia: The male version of anorexia nervosa, or any general wasting away of the body in men. This eating disorder is commonly seen in starlets but is now affecting men, where they take on the wasted appearance of starving children in third world countries. This is more often a drug-related issue in men, than the self-esteem issue it manifests as in women.
