pics or shens: A demand made on internet forums to post images of a currently discussed topic. A lack of images is tantamount to a lack of proof; hence the consequence is "shens" or shenanigans. See pics or stfu Roughly translated, it means "show images of said topic or I will consider your claim to be false"

FLIRJ: An acronym for "First Lady I'd Rim Job", and a reference to Hilary Clinton. Made famous by the 9/13/2008 opening skit of Saturday Night Live dialog:

conspicuous consumer: someone who purchases at locations for an underlying purpose of being seen. Buying the label not the look.

liptease: The act of putting on lipstick suggestively; The oral equivalent of a striptease.

bush doctrine: A policy of preemptive strike, as proposed by President George W. Bush.

silly season: The political primary season in the United States, where the party rank-and-file select their candidates for elective office. So called because of the phony "issues" prospective candidates dredge up to get attention, which tend to have little to do with the real challenges facing the republic. Thought to have originated in New Hampshire, the state with the first presidential primaries.

putting lipstick on a pig: A term used by many, generally in reference to someone who may be trying to make something or someone look appealing or attractive when it quite clearly will not work, or will only deceive the dumbest of people. Car salesmen are generally good at "putting lipstick on a pig" because they are always selling unroadworthy buckets of shit and try and hide their shitfulness by tarting them up.

Silent Rave: "Rave" or form of wild dancing party where all of the members listen to music through headphones on seperate portable music players. The players are all synchronized so everyone is hearing the same thing, but no outsiders hear anything, hence the "silent" portion of the name.

hurrication: Evacuation from a major hurricane turned into a short holiday.

grown man: verb: to dress formally. Originating from the Bay Area.

Song Binging: To binge on a song or artist. The act of repeatedly and obsessively listening to a particular song or artist over a relatively short period of time. Periods of song binging are followed by extended periods of skipping the certain track or artist, leaving them unplayed.

Bus Surfing: The act of attempting to ride a bus by standing in the aisle like a surfer. The goal is to stand for as long as possible without touching anything (seats, poles, people) for support. Often a competition between two people to see who can stand the longest.

interneuter: Loosing your connection to the internet

Loves it: Loves it is just another word for "I love it!" Made up by Paris and Nicole of the Simple Life.

baby bump: The abdomen area of a pregnant woman. As the fetus/baby grows so does a woman's belly. Thus it is referred to as a "baby bump."

Thumb me: Encourage a friend to send you a SMS on their cell phone/mobile. The thumb being the key finger used in texting a message.

Fittie: A term used for describing the opposite sex as good looking, however not usually used between the same gender. The opposite of this is commonly butterz. See also buff and Hot.

Post-Party Depression: The feeling you have after a big party you had been anticipating is over.

gasolina: Spanish slang meaning skeet. Comes from the reggaeton song "Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee.

mis-wave: To return a wave to someone you think is waving at you, but is actually waving to the person behind you. Usually results in embarrassment and introversion.

deface: To remove a 'friendship' from facebook due to having either accidentily adding him/her as a friend or actually adding them and reconsidering later.

Manscape: The removal of excess body hair via waxing, shaving, plucking. Also manscap - ing, ed See wordMetrosexual/word

veepstakes: The process a candidate for president goes through to choose a running mate. It's a portmanteau word combining the colloquial pronunciation of VP as "veep" and sweepstakes. The winner of the veepstakes is awarded the honor of being trashed in the media for the next 5 months.

Guitarthritis: the medical condition causing pain in the wrists after playing guitar hero for an extended amount of time

Doom Buggy: 1.A car that is wrecked, totaled or not drivable. 2.A very old car that needs a lot of servicing. 3.A car that is a lemon. 4.Any car that either looks like it will, or has fallen completely apart while someone was driving it
