They were still favored to beat their rival Washington State, who had not beaten a FBS opponent that season but managed to twist the knife that ended the UW season that year -- winless. Consider 2011 when the dawgs scored 56 points in the Alamo Bowl and still found a way to lose it. Consider the 2012 Apple Cup where UW led 28-10 over Washington State but lost in overtime, after their kicker missed a 35-yard field goal that would have given them a six-point lead.

Holy Cow, when I ordered the mug I mistakenly googled flenching instead of fetching!
