An example of a 'thousand cranes' act would be the fundraiser called, "The Heart of a soldier"or "the story of Sultan and SFC Brian Assanowicz" where a community in NJ has come together to raise funds for a stray dog rescued by a U.S. soldier stationed in Afghanistan. in this example, the Vet-i-care division of NorthStar Vets in NJ has committed itself to saving this dog's life- before the funds can be raised. another example of a 'thousand cranes' act would be to support this cause, if only to find the event flyer online and email it to a news station- which is much simpler than folding even a single origami paper crane and could be the single act of kindness to save a life. 2.) "An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury." as published on wikipedia 3.) I was really excited to receive this mug and when it did come it was perfect quality. My only complaint is that the color I choose was green teal but it came in yellow.
