Ridin' solo
Although widely believed to refer to being single and on the look out for a ladyfriend, this is in fact a misconception. Rather, 'ridin' solo' refers to cotching, strictly on one's own, for a long period of time. This often, but not exclusively, involves a prolonged period of gaming in single-player mode. Several lyrics from the Jason Derulo song of the same name attest to this definition: 'Time to do the things I like'. It is well known that Mr Derulo likes to play Pro Evolution Soccer. 'I'm putting on my shades to cover up my eyes.' This refers not to some fly aviators, but rather the curtains to Jason's room, so he doesn't get glare off his screen. 'Now I got my shit together'. Jason is surrounded by all his favourite games (PES, COD) so he doesn't have to move from his seat.
