You bless the raw ingredients on a grill by letting the Ock behind the counter cook it. The vegetables first, then the meat then the cheese then the roll, then the optional slice of tomato. The spices they use are CIA secrets. The preperation method is so violent when they chop it up it echos 3 blocks over. It is 2nd only to nyc infamous bacon egg and cheese. If you ever hear "yo lemme get-" in a food baised deli in nyc it's either 3 things. A lotto ticket, a bacon egg and cheese or a chopped cheese. It may sound like a fancy burger. But it is not and does not taste like one either. It is an experience
