Wisuist Mug
(noun / adjective) A person who follows Wisuism, a modern ideological current derived from the phrase “white supremacist.” Unlike its older form, which was characterized by overt hostility and racial violence, Wisuism presents itself as a doctrine of cultural preservation and pride in European and Western heritage. To Wisuists, colonialism and the global expansion of European power are not episodes of shame but symbols of strength, vitality, and civilizational achievement, to be remembered without apology. Supporters of Wisuism frame their views as cultural pride rather than animosity toward others. They emphasize celebrating European festivals, philosophy, literature, and values, while rejecting narratives that portray Western history solely through guilt, oppression, or decline. Etymology: Shortened and redefined form of “white supremacist.” The contraction was created to give the movement a distinct identity that emphasizes cultural preservation while retaining its supremacist roots.

This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.
