Blink-182 are a 3 piece punk/alternative rock band. They consist of one of the greatest drummers to ever pick up drumsticks, Travis Barker, extremely talented guitarist and lead vocalist, Tom DeLonge and the all round genius that is Mark Hoppus who is the bassist and vocalist. Most "punk" kids these days, like many writing blink-182 definitions, think that it makes them punk to hate on them. blink-182 have evolved in a way that no other band has. They started off writing fast punk songs like 'Carousel', which may I add has no profanities in the lyrics of the song at all which was claimed in another definition, to writing alternative rock songs like "Hearts All Gone". People claim blink are immature and write about nothing except 'fucking dogs in the ass'. This isn't true. Infact, blink only wrote 1 song titled 'I wanna fuck a dog in the ass'. Blink are well known for their lyrical genius. Examples of this would be "You're cold with disappointment while I'm drowning in the next room, the last contagious victim of this plague between us", "Don't waste your time on me you're already the voice inside my head" and "When the night will begin the pain it won't end even if she falls in love, fact you wanna turn back, your heart will attack even if she falls in love". Globally known as one of the greatest, down to earth bands to ever exist, and unlike any other band, blink-182 are the voice of many generations.
