Anti-Prep Mug
A person who refuses to live their life according to the prep mold (abercrombie, american eagle, Blink 182, etc.) and styles their own personality. They don't all wear black clothing, and they are not all outcasts. Most just don't want to be a dumb jock or pinhead cheerleader. Anti-preps dress and act how they want, not how the popular kids dress and act, but they can still be popular. Not all shop at the Salvation Army store. And above all, they are not anti-prep because they cannot find friends with the more popular, athletic, intelligent, and skillful people. In fact, there is no one on this planet who is all four of those things. Anyone who thinks that anit-preps are losers should take a look in the mirror and see what mold they fit into. Anti-preps just break the mold.

Your description is right on, except in 1989 I named my daughter Kallen Mikel (www.kallenmikel.com/original-art). I thought I made up the name, but apparently, it originated as a boy's name in Greek and Hebrew. I first found this out in 2001 when I was traveling to Finland. In the 'tube food' section in a big Finnish supermarket there it was, a royal blue tube of salmon paste with a blonde-haired boy named Kallen! So now I have discovered that there are many Kallen's of both sexes. I want to buy her a cup, but it has 'him' on it. Is there any way you can make that a unisex description for both sexes? Just askin'. Being a Barbara (Barbs) myself ... a 'cake eater' from Edina, MN I had to ask ... haha ;-)
