The act of hiding your power level is to conceal your true intentions from other people. While hiding your true identity, you seek to convert a group of people to believe in your ideology. This can be done in forms of jokes, desensitizing people to the point where they wouldn't mind who you really are. This comes from far right/left communities who float around Reddit, 4chan, and other internet forums. These people try to convince others into believing in their political ideologies. They do this in the form of jokes, slowly ramping them up over time until they are full blown statements of what they believe in, and by that point nobody speaks against it; you know, cause it's just a "joke".

Good stuff! Although, I do have a sneaking suspicion that this is cursed. You see, whenever i dawn this top-teir, soft, stylish shirt - I proceed to pass out within 46 seconds. The mere act of making contact with the material insues the process of this countdown starting. If I do not quit contact, i will lose conciousness the exact moment the countown hits 0. And when I regain clarity, I find myself in a bathtub - never mine, but a bathtub nevertheless. In the bathtub, there is always various colours of hairdye. I then have to go back home, shirt stained with dye. Very fashionable though! 10/10
