Emerging from the Russian internet in the mid-2010s, F57 became infamous for its reported involvement in manipulative “games” that targeted vulnerable individuals through psychological control and violent, self-destructive tasks. While its authenticity and extent remain debated, F57 is considered an early example of exploitative online subcultures using shock and fear as tools of influence. It bears similarities in tone and method to later groups such as 764, sharing the same dark aesthetic, recruitment tactics, and destructive goals.
