A high school with a smaller population of white students than Providence High School and a higher percentage of free or reduced lunch, yet is still called the richest school. it is also called preppy; however a very large percentage of the school population wears sweats to school every day. Contrary to popular belief, not all of the students live in million dollar mansions. Two country clubs are zoned to attend AK, but both country clubs have normal sized and small houses. The other neighborhoods have normal and small sized houses, and there are a lot of townhomes near by. The school has an expensive football field that everyone made a big deal out of, but didn't make a big deal out of the fact that the new high school in Mint Hill has turf also. Ardrey Kell has an ugly campus, but the inside of the school is nice. Overall, it has a student body in a building that's nice on the inside.
