A variant of the traditional electric guitar and bass guitar the Warr guitar was designed by Mark Warr. The Warr guitar usually has 8 or 12 strings ranging from notes below the register of the bass guitar and going just as high as the traditional electric guitar. Unlike a bass guitar or electric guitar a Warr guitar is usually held vertically instead of horizontally, although it can be played both ways. The Warr guitar is usually played by using touch-style. The Warr guitar's main advantage over other guitars is that it only takes one finger to produce the sound instead of two. Yet the Warr guitar can also be plucked or strummed.
