Gloom Metal
A rare strand of Metal music (Genre) characterised by muted irregular drum beats, lead bass guitar in a downbeat style with an accompanying echoic low volume guitar, generating an ambience of potent despair. Generally includes throaty/nasal vocals of a gloomy persuasion. Live performances are largely of low amplification in venues of poor acoustic tombre. Fanbase tend to be reclusive and tend to go out on overcast days and evenings. Popular bands include Spousa Lid, Rainy Day and Pension Collection.
