A spin-off of the punk genre founded in Britain in the late 70's. It was popularized in the 80's for a brief time before settling back in the underground. The American sister-genre of Goth Rock is called Deathrock. Holy Cow, when I ordered the mug I mistakenly googled flenching instead of fetching! My wife and German Shepard compete in AKC canine agility competition and our German Shepherd won the fetching competition.
