Juice WRLD (born Jarad Higgins; December 2, 1998 – December 8, 2019) was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his emotive and introspective style. He gained widespread recognition with his breakout hit "Lucid Dreams," which showcased his ability to blend melodic hooks with themes of heartbreak and mental health struggles. Juice WRLD's music often explored themes of love, pain, and personal turmoil, and he became known for his prolific output and freestyle abilities. His unique sound contributed significantly to the evolution of the hip-hop and emo rap genres before his untimely death at the age of 21, May he rest in peace. In Juice WRLD's music and personal philosophy, the number 999 holds significant meaning. Juice WRLD adopted 999 as a symbol of positivity and overcoming adversity. He explained that it represents turning a negative into a positive—seeing the good in difficult situations and striving to make the best out of challenging circumstances. In his interpretation, the number 999 is seen as a reverse of 666, which is often associated with negativity or evil. By flipping the number, Juice WRLD aimed to promote a message of hope and resilience, encouraging fans to focus on the brighter side of life and to overcome struggles.
