An emoticon face that has been in use for a while however recently got popularized around the late 2010's due to memes as well as a COPYPASTA that went viral. The "OwO" face today is used to convey sexual arousal or even general excitement. It has gained a lot of negative stigma due to its perverse usage within both the anime / OTAKU community as well as the FURRY community. Although it's mostly used in a joking manner, some people still use the face unironically (mainly people within the furry community for activities such as RP or role-play). The face is most notably known for being paired with the phrase "OwO what's this," which originally started as an in joke with furries before being adopted by the anime community.

The color of the block highlighting the subject word was labeled "Flamingo Pink", but on the mug, it's actually closer to lilac and the woman I bought this mug for loves the color pink. I do like the apparent permanence of the design on the mug, I'm just disappointed with the inaccuracy of the color.
