fauxductivity: Pretending to be productive at work.

Scrolly-gag: To waste time scrolling through social media or other online content. Especially on a cell phone.

victory gardens : Victory gardens were inspired by Eleanor Roosevelt to help the allied effort during World War II, by providing self-sufficiency in nutrition needs.

homeboy ambulance: noun; A car which is used to drop off victims at a hospital or police station. The vehicle usually drives into the ambulance bay, or to the front of the hospital, where the patient is pushed out, and the 'homeboy ambulance' leaves quickly, without making any contact with hospital staff. Most patients dropped off by these 'homeboy ambulances' are gang members or hookers. Usually seen in urban areas and county hospitals.

wakey wakey: A cute/nice way of saying "wake the f*** up"!!!

Blanding: A combination of branding and bland. Used to indicate corporate homogenization. Can also apply to corporate interference in the arts, as in the case of Starbucks forming a music label.

Grass widow: When a woman becomes a widow NOT BECAUSE HER HUSBAND DIED but due to other circumstances. Those reasons may also include a husband (and father, if kids were involved) that leaves home abandoning his wife (and child/ren) never to return. The term "grass widow" was introduced in the 1920s/30s.

bread and circus: A sports event that is used to keep the stupid masses dumb and under control by keeping them fed and entertained like during the ancient roman times when they gave free bread and free entry to games like gladiator fights, chariot races, etc to keep the masses happy and under control.

Degen: Gambler, "degenerate" gambler. Refers to card players, racetrack bums, bookies, dice & craps shooters, proposition (prop) bettors. Gamblers consider other gamblers degens, but not themselves usually. Card players consider sports bettors "degens." Sports bettors consider slot machine players degens. Etc

thoughtcrime: Orwellion concept. A crime that you are guilty of because you are THINKING of doing something bad. (i.e. In 1984's Oceania, spending time alone is almost a crime because it's considered odd, and odd people are a threat to a stable environment such as theirs.) also, see patriot act. (i.e. when you check anarchist cookbook out from the library or something, the gov might have the right to go into your home and tap your phone and computer. And it's all perfectly legal since you might be a terrorist.)

baffies: Slippers (singular baffie or baffy) Scottish word for slippers, thought to derive from 'bachle' meaning to shuffle.

Swamp Puppies: A bunch of feisty Alligators or Crocodiles

Vice Signaling: This is the opposite of Virtue Signaling. It is a way to broadcast to other ultra conservatives that you despise those different from you and judge others based upon superficial traits.

Nut Shit: A slang term in reference to doing something ridiculous typically used in the Philly region.

sweet as: Second most common phrase in New Zealand after "awesome". Said when someting is rather good instead of just "good" or "OK". Often followed by "bro".

romantasy: A novel that's a hybrid between a fantasy and romance novel.

oligargler: An apologist for the oligarchical class. One who deepthroats oligarchs' dicks so hard that they end up gargling their balls.

paper tiger: a literal English translation of the Chinese phrase zhǐ lǎohǔ (simplified Chinese: 纸老虎; traditional Chinese: 紙老虎), meaning something that seems as threatening as a tiger, but is really harmless.

My Back Hurts: A term used to politely decline an offer to preform an action. Synonyms: “My back”
