Kent
1) A phrase used to describe something or someone superficially pleasing but without real substance. 2) A person that is superficial, vain and oblivious to the fact that people find him/her annoying and dull. Background: This word was originated by myself during the summer of 1994 in Ganges, B.C. Canada. It is based on a person who I worked with at the time who exhibited all of the above traits. I started describing things that I thought resembled or embodied Kent's behavior as 'Kent'. Interestingly enough I was able to incorporate the term into the everyday language of a large number of people who had no idea who 'Kent' was. I have since heard it used in the U.S. and Canada by people I have no connection to. The original Kent never understood why people used his name to describe things and probably decided, in his mind, that they were complimenting him.

I was really excited to receive this mug and when it did come it was perfect quality. My only complaint is that the color I choose was green teal but it came in yellow.
