Pros: *HASD kids are ... *HASD kids are artists, musicians, writers, dancers, athletes, singers, and future business leaders. *HASD kids go on to serve their country in all branches of the military. *HASD kids join the workforce as technical workers in welding, plumbing, culinary, and more. *HASD kids are brilliant in the areas of math and science and go on to be doctors, teachers, scientists, environmentalists, lawyers, and more. *Students are very diverse and have the opportunity to learn about many cultures and languages. Cons: *Kids trying to find their places in the world. (Con?- No. NORMAL) *Hazleton is a smaller community where many feel there isn't much to do. *There is tough parking in the winter snow. *Potholes are city landmarks. *Some people are narrow-minded and do not see the beauty and opportunity in front of them. BIGGEST DRAWBACK--- it can be tough for people of all ages and races to look beyond stereotypes and poor examples set by a FEW to avoid making the stereotype the norm. Hazleton is growing and changing and there are issues that need to be addressed LIKE IN ANY CITY IN THE WORLD.
