Vlah Mug
Serbian/Croatian, n.) - An insulting term for an Aromanian, or a Serb. It is used in the context to those outside of Serbia, seeing them as hillbillies that rake tall grass for hay during the summer and drink Balkan moonshine, otherwise known as rakija, whilst also denoting towards a Serb outside of Serbia that they're not a Serb, because their ancestors may have potentially migrated from modern-day Romania. Historically, the term was used to describe the Wallachians, who inhabited the autonomous state of Wallachia, which was a federal subject of the Ottoman Empire for some time. Some of those within that state have have chosen to emigrate to other Balkan countries such as Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Kosovo (depending on the perception of the user on whether it is a country or not), mostly due to better opportunities to own land and live off of it. I loved this mug! when i drink out of it it always has a horrible stench and honestly i dont mind because i love smelling it. my boyfriend thinks i should throw it away because he says "its has lead poisoning" but i cant get rid of it. when my mom died i bought her a mug that said "deceased" because i thought it would brighten the moment when i open presents at her funeral (it worked). but if your looking for something to buy, you should really get one of these mugs. they are cute, nerdy, and remind me of my dead mother!
