A "Death Cult" is a group that expresses the worship of the divine God-Emperor through the art and exploration of death. Death and blood underpin Human existence. It is a common truism that only through continued blood-sacrifice in the face of a hostile universe will Mankind prevail, a sacrifice likened in the Imperial Creed to the bodily sacrifice of the Emperor Himself. The ideology of a Death Cult can vary widely, from religious fundamentalism to political extremism to nihilistic anarchism. Some Death Cults embrace a particular race or ethnicity, while others reject all forms of identity and seek to create a new, post-human society. One common feature of many Death Cults is the use of propaganda and indoctrination to recruit new members and reinforce existing beliefs. Members may be subjected to intense psychological pressure and forced to conform to strict codes of behavior and thought. Despite their extreme and often violent beliefs, some Death Cults have gained significant followings and even achieved political power in certain regions of the world. Their influence can be felt in everything from art and music to politics and international relations.

I was very pleased with the mug and I was thrilled that I could purchase a customized item that perfectly suited the person I was gifting. The only issue I had was that it didn't have the quote from the tv show the word came from as that was pictured on the mug prior to purchase.
