Their music is a reflection of their childhood in Detroit and the urban decline of the city, which has seen massive white flight towards suburban areas, which but the white population of Detroit at around 12%. Because of their minority status in Detroit, the band members have done only one public interview, where they obscured their faces wit bandannas and sunglasses/hats, despite their vehement pride in their race.
