If you don't have family money is the difference between life and death. Let's say you work for Anheuser-Busch. The company goes bankrupt because of an ad campaign. 166,632 people lose their jobs. You have no family. You have to start looking for a job. That takes time. Maybe your resume isn't great. 166,632 people are now ALSO looking for a new job and they have similar work experience. If it takes more than a month and 15 days (and that's if your landlord is generous) you're evicted. You get evicted, you can not longer get a job because you need a place of residence to get a job. How long before your phone runs out of service? Can no longer access the internet. Which means you can no longer look for a job. You have no family. Nowhere to stay. How does money not help you in that situation?
