Also, Thai-pop origins lie in R&B, pop, hip-hop, ballads, and alternative rock. It also mixes with other genres, such as disco, funk, and techno/electropop. The term is extremely broad, covering phleng phuea chiwit, luk thung and mor lam. Popular artists from the 1980s to now include: Bird McIntyre, Pumpuang Duangjan, Asanee-Wasan Micro, Mai Chaorenpura, Ploy, Tik Shiro, J Jetrin, Boyscout, Nuvo, Lift-Oil, SWEE:D, Four Mod, K-Otic, Thaitanium, Joey Boy, Tata Young, and etc.
