The new regressive left would like you to blind yourself from the fact that these may ring true, which is preventing people from coming together to have an honest dialogue about causality and realistic solutions. Note that the term "stereotype" will not be applied to overly simplified and probable generalizations that are either supportive of progressive policy conclusions, or demonize/dismiss the opposition. Examples of these include: "All Republicans are older, wealthy white men." "Trump supporters are uneducated and uninformed." "Women don't make as much as men because of institutionalized sexism."
