Sore Loserman
This was the insult often used by members of the Republican party towards 2000 presidential/vice presidential candidates Al Gore and Joe Lieberman. Their campaign signs read "Gore Lieberman," and the insult is a play on words referring to how Mr. Gore criticized the handling of the Florida vote counting, resulting in the closest (and possibly most botched) presidential race in the history of the United States. Mr. Gore's appeals for a recount went unheeded.
