The speech was shared at a pivotal moment in history, during the civil rights era. The reason this speech has reached so many, is because society began to have an understanding of the focus and goals of the movement being expressed by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I think everyone who witnessed this speech was impacted by the power behind the words. Whether people who were there in real time, or those who watched after the fact. Especially people who personally experienced racism and inequalities in this country, I believe felt the impact of what was being expressed that day. I think what makes this speech so meaningful is the perspective of the speaker, as he is conveying his idea of what the future could look like. He does this, while at the same time reminding the audience of the present events taking place. He stood confidently and spoke clearly throughout the whole speech. Good stuff! Although, I do have a sneaking suspicion that this is cursed. You see, whenever i dawn this top-teir, soft, stylish shirt - I proceed to pass out within 46 seconds. The mere act of making contact with the material insues the process of this countdown starting. If I do not quit contact, i will lose conciousness the exact moment the countown hits 0. And when I regain clarity, I find myself in a bathtub - never mine, but a bathtub nevertheless. In the bathtub, there is always various colours of hairdye. I then have to go back home, shirt stained with dye. Very fashionable though! 10/10
