POD

Word stands for "Police Obnoxiously Dressed" a POD is a police officer in his civilian clothes which usually looks like a thrift market exploded. The standard no name jeans or Lee jeans, along with a customary cheap heather gray sweatshirt. Often a POD will wear all white leather sneakers typically New Balance. A more sophisticated POD will wear tight cargo style pants with a tight polo shirt bearing some type of police logo. Often the POD will wear a sidearm in plain view or concealed in the all too often seen "fanny pack." PODS often have aggressively high and tight haircuts and will wear very awful ties when dressed up, not to mention the well established and worn mustache. Never discount the PODS tendency to wear denim shirts or sweatshirts mixed with denim.
