Nu-Horror
A marketing buzzword used by suburban SoundCloud artists to rebrand standard Trap Metal and Incelcore as something "prestigious" or "high-art." Nu-Horror is defined by the massive gap between the artist's "God of Death" persona and their mundane reality as a Suburban NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). Musically, it consists of distorted 808s and "edgy" lyrics about killing women or misanthropy, recorded almost exclusively in a parent's basement in places like West Chicago. It is heavily associated with the 764 / SickFuQNation digital networks.
