This could be due to a lack of communication or little access to real food. The idea of food is enough to make you full. The term originated at a fraternity formal in Nashville. Said female-date only consumed a donut, orange juice and peanut m&m's over the course of 3 days and was able to survive. The lack in nutrition led her to be "Nashville Skinny" as a result.
