To Jaeger, Jaegering or to be Jaegered is to have someone else pilot you through strong influence, coercion, or dominance. Often by a marital spouse, friend or colleague who is able to steer the actions of another or put words in the Jaegers mouth 1. The term was first used on the Critical Role Youtube series Campaign 1 - Vox Machina; by Travis Willingham, playing the character Grog, in response to his wife and game partner Laura Bailey, Vex'ahlia, was giving Travis specific words and actions to play through his character in Meta. 'Don't Jaeger me' was Travis's response 2. Jaeger - from the German word meaning "Hunter" - in this setting was a reference to Pacific Rim (2013 movie), where giant robots called Jaegers are piloted by two (or three) mentally linked pilots and used to fight off aliens that enter our universe from a portal between 2 tectonic plates.
