He only liked to hire folks from indiana to work, because he thought that they worked hard. they became known as Hoosa's men, then just Hoosa(s), then Hoosiers, their are many definition's as i have read, but this seems to be the one that alot of the older people in indiana seem to know, other than that: GO HOOSIERS!!!!!!!! as far as what the canadians say that would be HOSER, HOSE-ER, not Hoosier
