Herd immunity is a mathematical protection that hasn't been proven to work in practise. Sweden is trying to achieve herd immunity by reaching more people that has become infected or have gone through the infection than those who have yet not. (Through the disease or vaccination) In short meaning it's more likely to come across a person whom should've developed an immunity.
