Grade grinding is a term used to define the act of studying for excruciatingly long periods for the purpose of getting a small increase in marks for any assessment/exam, etc. Often means foregoing eating, socializing, and sleeping for the tiny incremental increase in grade. Frequently requires the remembering of menial things such as dates, numbers, etc.
