It is most comonly used in internal combustion engines such as those found in cars, tractors, airplanes and other large and small scale machines. the substance itself has been in use since about the 1900's gaining widespread populairty after Henry Ford's inventionof th Automobile. It has since been a major source of fuel all over the world even driving some countries to attack others for it such as in the battle of stalingrad in World War 2. Gasoline itself is, as stated before, a hydrocarbon with 8 (eight) carbons and and 18 (eighteen) Hydrogens. This source of fuel has caused widespread debate over the harmful gases it produces such as Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide that pollute the air. it has also been featured in many films and shows as the most precious liquid in the world for example in Mad Max: Road Warrior or The Walking Dead.
