A Farquaad is an arrogant man/male who makes others feel inferior through posturing and excessively asserting themselves during conversations. They present themselves as being of superior intellect and use their tone of voice to belittle others and minimise attention when proven incorrect. They are a caricature of a person. You sense inauthenticity & bravado when around this person. The term Farquaad comes from the Shrek character Lord Farquaad.
