Consequences are a matter of life and death: The Bible says that covenant-breaking sins are worthy of death, as listed with the sins in Romans 1:29-32. God's faithfulness despite human unfaithfulness: Even though humans break covenants, the Bible consistently emphasizes God's enduring faithfulness. The message of 2 Timothy 2:13 states, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself". Hope through Jesus: Despite the severity of the consequences for breaking covenants, the Bible also presents the hope of restoration through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. How to respond to a broken covenant Repent: The Bible advises to repent of covenant-breaking sins. Acknowledge wrongdoing: The Bible urges us to admit our mistakes and ask for forgiveness from our loving and merciful God. Ask for forgiveness: Asking God for forgiveness is a crucial step in the repentance process.
