what we always called the punks or wanna be punks that already had below the crown shaved off and had to "grow in" the back part of a mohawk. in the nineties is was commonplace as EVERYONE had the lower half of their head shaved as alterna kids and when they found punk the first thing they did was grow that stripe down the back. in the 2000's, it also applied to the fucking faux hawk faggots. same haircut, but on purpose this time.
