A NHL hockey team that was formerly called the Hartford Whalers, part of the Southeast Divison. The Stanley Cup Champions of 2006, led by capitan Rod Brind'Amour and Con Smythe Trophy winner (Goalie) Cam Ward. Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, they are owned by Peter Karmanos and the General Manager is Jim Rutherford and they play in the RBC Center. Nicknamed the 'Canes. One of the most famous players was former capitan Ron Francis. They won the first Major League title for North Carolina.
