Boxmas, a portmanteau of Christmas and Boxing Day, takes elements from both holidays to form a new day of celebration. It is also seen as good form to partake in the giving of gifts, shows of affection, and cake. Boxmas is the third largest celebrated end-of-year holiday in Melbourne, Australia.
