1)A strong adverse reaction by child welfare professionals or child representatives caked in bias, privilege, and racial discrimination that is applied to Black, Brown, or poor families and not their lighter or wealthier counterparts. 2)Recoiling from any emotion displays expressed by Black, Brown, or poor families and documenting them as irate, hostile, or other malicious negative terminology that evokes intensive racialized professional scrutiny. 3)A drastic act of retaliation or overcorrection by professionals against a Parent of Color for any deviation from perfection no matter how big or small the offense; recrimination when a Parent of Color attempts to stand up for themselves.
