This is accepting superficial sexual gratification while at the same time distancing yourself from any sort of real romantic connection with your would-be partner. It's a version of a hot-and-cold relationship not too dissimilar from abused women who don't leave because in their subjective perspective they are getting more out of their relationship than it is costing them. With some age and distance, a hung black man may realize they were treated more like an animal than an equal.
