Desaree
A female name of French origin, meaning "much desired one". The Puritans used Desaree as a given name in New England back in the 1700's. Desiree Clary, one-time fiancee of Napoleon, who later married Jean Baptiste Bernadotte. When her husband was elected as King Karl VI Johan of Sweden, she became Queen of Sweden. To this day, the first daughter of Swedish royals are always given "Desiree" as one of thier middle names. The current Crown Princess of Sweden is named Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree. Often spelled phonetically to ensure the French pronunciation. Desaree has 15 variant forms: Desarae, Desiree, Deseray, Desideria, Desir, Desirae, Desirat, Desiray, Desire, Desirea, Desiri, Desyre, Dezirae, Deziray and Deziree.
